How This Site Makes Its Money
Every price-comparison and guides site earns a living somehow, and we think you should know exactly how before you trust a word we write. This page sets out our model in plain English: where the money comes from, what it costs you, and the lines it never crosses.
The short version
Our guides are free to read and the comparisons we point you to are free to use. When you click a quote button or banner on this site, you go to an FCA-regulated comparison service, currently Quotezone, and if you go on to buy a policy, the provider pays us a commission. That commission comes out of the provider’s marketing budget, not out of your premium: you pay exactly the same as you would arriving there directly.
Where the money comes from
Affiliate partnerships are our only source of income. We do not sell insurance ourselves, we do not handle your money, and we hold no stake in any insurer. Every quote journey is clearly marked, our links carry the sponsored attribution search engines expect, and the partner behind them is a regulated business whose service exists whether you arrive through us or not.
What the money never changes
The commercial model has one obvious risk: a site paid by clicks could tilt its advice toward clicking. Our defence is structural rather than a promise. Every guide on this site, including the pages reviewing individual brands, ends with the same advice: compare the whole market with identical details and let the prices argue. We earn the same whether you follow a quote from the commercial page, the campervan page or a brand review, so we have no reason to steer you anywhere except toward a fair comparison. Our editorial principles are set out in full on the about page.
What we don’t do
- No paid rankings – no insurer or brand can pay for a kinder review or a higher place in our guides.
- No sponsored content – nothing on this site is written or approved by an insurer.
- No data selling – we never see or sell the details you enter on a partner’s quote form.
- No pressure tactics – comparing is genuinely optional, and the guides stand on their own if you never click a thing.
If anything on this page is unclear, or you spot something that looks like a conflict we have missed, tell us: transparency only works if readers hold us to it.
