Van insurance is bought in a hurry, priced in jargon and renewed on autopilot, and drivers pay for all three. We built this site to slow the first part down, translate the second and put an end to the third.
What this site is for
MyVanInsurance.co.uk exists to help UK van drivers (tradespeople, couriers, fleet operators, campervan owners and everyone in between) understand the cover they’re buying before they buy it. Every guide on the site tackles one subject properly: what the cover is, who needs it, what moves the price and where the traps are. No policy is sold on this site; we deal in plain English, and we point you to the market when you’re ready to compare.
How we write our guides
Each guide is researched against how the UK van insurance market actually works: the classes of use insurers rate, the questions quote forms really ask, and the exclusions that catch drivers out at claim time. We write for the reader who has ten minutes and a renewal notice, not for other insurance people. Where the detail depends on an individual insurer’s current terms, we say so and tell you what to check, because a guide that pretends every policy is identical is a guide that gets you a rejected claim.
How the site makes money
Openly: through advertising and affiliate partnerships. When you click a quote button or banner on this site, you’ll be taken to an FCA-regulated comparison or insurance provider, and if you go on to buy, we may earn a commission. That commission never changes what our guides say; the same advice to compare the whole market appears on every page, including the pages about individual brands. What we are not
We’re not insurers, brokers or financial advisers, and nothing on this site is personal financial advice. We explain how van cover works; the decision about which policy suits your van, your business and your budget is yours, made on the insurer’s own documents. If you’re unsure, a regulated broker can advise you personally.
